Oxfam in Uganda, with funding from Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) through Oxfam Denmark, is implementing a Strategic Partnership program from 2022 to 2025.
This initiative focuses on economic justice, inclusive democracies, education for active citizenship, inclusive peacebuilding, humanitarian action, and resilience.
It is carried out in collaboration with four Refugee-Led Organizations, one national CBO, a cultural institution, and four Non-Governmental Organizations.
The program targets the districts of Yumbe, Madi Okollo, and Terego in the West Nile region, as well as the EACOP district in the Southwest, aiming to promote peaceful coexistence, gender and climate justice, livelihood support, food security, education, and social and economic justice.
The peacebuilding initiative is designed to reach a target of 42,645 individuals across both refugee and host communities. 60% of the direct project participants are women and girls of reproductive age.
