This report is a product of a baseline data generation exercise between two cities in Uganda; Kampala, the capital city located in the country’s central region and Soroti city, one of the newly created cities located in the Eastern region. The exercise, commissioned by Oxfam in Uganda was aimed at generating baseline evidence for Oxfam in Uganda to (i) Support social enterprises and local businesses in the food business sector to thrive and (ii) Build capacity of local policymakers to design and/or implement inclusive policies that equitably benefit all groups of the community, facilitate multi-stakeholder consultations to generate grassroot voices that are inclusive and ensure women and particularly the vulnerable thrive and their rights protected.
