In Uganda, the humanitarian context is characterized by conflicts (internal and external), food insecurity, natural disasters, and epidemic outbreaks. These are due to both internal and external factors. Since the
Oxfam is working with partners CEFORD to provide life-saving assistance providing clean water, sanitation hygiene including construction of pit latrines but also integrating gender and protection work. We are also strengthening our advocacy work within the settlements, at National and regional level. Our emergency response has reached over 283,000 refugees in Bidibidi and other settlements in Arua, Adjumani and Lamwo. Oxfam is increasing its efforts in making visible the response as well as implementing some of the key RTE recommendations that are towards increasing the quality of the response as well as fundraising for more resources.
