George Oryangotum

George Oryongatum started off as a student trainee under Oxfam mentorship program and is currently the Public Health Promotion Assistant at Oxfam – Uganda based in Nakivale Refugee settlement, under the COVID Appeal funding (Infection Prevention and Control). He was a student and President of Makerere University Environmental Health Students’ Association (MUEHSA) at School of Public Health who organized the 1st ever International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH/MUEHSA) academic conference in Uganda which influenced budgetary allocation to Disease prevent strategies. With 9 years of field experience in Environmental Health as front line community health worker and leader in the areas of Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Research and Lower local government project implementation both as Health Inspector and Assistant.
