Emilly Niringiye

Emilly is a communications professional who works with Oxfam to support the effective delivery of the country strategy in finding lasting solutions to the injustice of poverty.
Emilly is keen on finding out what truly drives conversations, making sure that the message speaks to everyone. It is not about how good you sound on and off paper but how well you connect with the heart-beating people you’re trying to help and how you communicate your understanding back to them. Its all about connecting, creating a relationship and an understanding with your audiences.
Prior to joining Oxfam, Emilly worked with USAID SAFE Program. Her roles entailed managing and updating the programme's information platforms (both internal and external), mobilizing and fundraising resources for organization programmes and post-event follow-ups, designing and production of the organization reports, documenting projects stories, archiving project photographs and much more.
Emilly holds a BA in journalism and communication from Makerere University.
