Dorah Ntunga joined Oxfam in 2013 and is currently the Information, Media and Communication Coordinator in Uganda. The media and communications work supports and delivers development and implementation of the media and communications strategy.
At Oxfam, Dorah is in charge of strategic communication, media related work including digital communications and information platforms, campaigns support, humanitarian communication, information and story content and generally profiling and communicating the holistic view of the country programme.
Dorah is currently pursuing a Masters in Diplomacy and International studies, holds a BA honours degree in Mass Communications, Public relations and a couple of trainings in strategic and digital communications. She has over 6 years experience in NGO communications and national private sector PR work having worked with MIFUMI, Inter Religious Council of Uganda and Uganda Revenue Authority.
In her free time she loves reading, gardening, cooking, watching movies, travelling and being around children!
Dorah upholds the values of transparency, honesty, hardwork and mutual respect. She believes that if everyone appreciated the fact that before anything else, we are all human and deserve the same value, then we would not struggle with issues of racism, intolerance ,inequalities and other injustices we are faced with today.
